Worked here in FY2. Pro's: -Good levels of staffing. -Lots of good quality teaching. -Daily consultant ward rounds Mon-Fri (unlike some other surgical specialities in ARI). -Interesting patient population. -Opportunities to go to theatre / hold the registrar bleep. Well supported when acting up. Con's: -Some of the consultants can be grumpy / passive aggressive at times. -Academic FY2's have a good rota. Non-academic FY2's spend a lot of time split between Vasc and Gen Surg. Their rota is very busy. Overall: -Good training experience. Would recommend.
