This was my second job as an FY1 over winter and enjoyed it a lot. It is generally well-staffed with good senior support, and you see a wide range of respiratory pathology, with opportunities to do procedures. There is a good amount of teaching too, including a weekly radiology teaching which I found interesting. Out of hours you cover care of the elderly, cardiology and GI, however the cardio/GI wards are fairly small.
