Starting with the on-calls - tends to be 1 SHO and Reg for the day and same for the night. On-calls can be heavy or light, really seems to be variable. Expect to often see patients independently as the registrar often has to cover SAU as well or be in theatre. AVOID!!! Toxic department due to a few consultants that get overly aggressive, shout at pretty much anything and whom everyone tries to avoid. Supervision and senior support is generally ok. Day to day workload is on the upper end but manageable.
