Very well staffed with regards to doctors Plenty of opportunity to attend theatres/join cases Supportive registrars, most are trust grade who are quite experienced Leave/study leave approved promptly Minimal formal teaching
Well supported, very well staffed, small friendly department. Plenty of time to go to theatres. SHOs only cover gen surg referrals as of Feb 2024, now a separate T&O SHO. Only downsides are some nurses can be very challenging, and there isn’t loads of teaching. Would recommend it & Ealing overall
Fy2 post; wards consistently very well staffed, lots of time for theatre/audits/exams. Very easy to get annual leave approved. Friendly department with ample opportunities for theatre time in Foundation if you're keen. Consultants are approachable and take interest in your training. SHO Take (cross cover both ortho and gen surg overnight) on calls can be busy but SAS registrars very helpful overall. The normal ward days are more relaxed with good staffing and find time ...More
