Often busy but great job. Consultants and regs friendly and supportive. Nursing staff generally great and get the job done. I understand only a few years ago it used to have a bad rep amongst juniors but they did a big re-jig of the department. On calls can be quite busy and you cover haematology patients too (haem malignancies and sickle mainly), but again usually well supported by the onc and haem SpRs. Another good thing is the massive encouragement to get involved with QIPs and projects, which should definitely be taken up as Guy's is a tertiary oncology centre. Great admin team too, which is highly appreciated nowadays! Highly recommend!
