Free parking. Easy to get a space if arriving before 9am. After this will be difficult until approximately 4pm when others start to leave. On street parking about 5-10 minutes walk from the hospital.
Be very cautious with parking far away - poorly lit, instances of staff being followed and mugged at their vehicles.

Notes & systems
Make a changeElectronic prescribing. Notes paper based. Hospital is equipped with phones so everyone can be directly dialled.
Lots of minor IT issues across the hospital - slow computers, faulty hardware, systems aren’t available on all computers (be prepared to fight for the one computer which has PACS and a label printer, for example).

Facilities & Doctors Mess
Make a changeFairly nice mess, in usual state of disrepair but consistent with the general state of the hospital. Paid coffee machine, fridge, washing up facilities. Attitude in mess is friendly with most/ all doctors quite happy to chat. Not able to do many events recently due to Covid19 restrictions.
Doctors tend to commute from the nearby areas - particularly from Glasgow, with many using the M8 / M74 to drive in, though commuting by train is also done.
