Great place to work! Friendly and welcoming department. Would recommend. Support - always someone to call for help, both in and out of hours. Rota - is absolutely fine. I got all my annual and study leave requests approved. Facilities - Lovely theatre coffee room, recently refurbished with tables and seating for eating as well as a comfortable sofas to relax on. No on-call room per se but access to a fold-up bed if rest is required during night shift (clinical work permitting). Computer access in theatre suite and anaesthetic department. Friendliness - anaesthetists, surgeons, anaesthetic/theatre/recovery/support/admin staff- all very friendly. Departmental teaching - regular tutorials by consultants, simulation training and regular CME. Training - plenty of training opportunities, both in and out of hours. Extracurricular - QI audit board with available projects in anaesthetic department if you’re interested in doing a project.
