Food & Canteen
Make a changeNot the best selection for a tertiary centre. Subway on site open for lunch, a small Costa at the front of the hospital, a small WHSmith near paeds A&E, otherwise small shops dotted around that sell basic sandwiches/crisps/snacks/hot drinks. A canteen exists but is across the road from the main hospital so not easy to get to if working across most of the hospital.

Facilities & Doctors Mess
Make a changeMess is relatively active - pizza Fridays, groups for most sports, usually a monthly event. Downside is that it only seems to be advertised on Facebook. The mess itself is medium sized with 2 microwaves, toaster, fridge/freezer, a few sofas, 3 computers and 2 bunk beds.
Most tend to live in Kemptown (close to hospital but parking is quite difficult and the area is a little run down) or Hove (nicer but further away). Parking is notoriously difficult in Brighton.
