Hospice has 2 wards each with its own consultant. You tend to be allocated to one ward for the whole rotation. Great MDT team / fab nurses. Lots of formal teaching and ward teaching. Holistic approach to medicine - had birthday parties / weddings / leaving parties / visits from therapy dogs and patients pets. No on-calls as foundation doctor. Occasionally stayed late but for valid reasons. Workload very manageable. Slower pace to hospital wards but a nice change and great learning opportunity.
