Hospital has a nice new mess but the management of it needs a huge change. There’s never any food in the kitchen though. Has a pool table no one uses. The couches are new and the mess gets new blankets every day.
During the whole of COVID parking was free amd only recently started charging for permits. It’s very cheap though just £11.30 a month. There’s usually plenty parking spaces even when you are a little late.
Teust uses EPMA and has a decent computer system. Paper notes though are a pain to use as they frequently get lost and suddenly appear when you no longer need them.

I can't believe it, it's PA ville, even more than Blackpool
I was recently admitted to I c u following assessment in a | e. 4 days on hobs, followed by 3 days on ward 17. The number of people involved in my care was phenomenal. They were some of the kindest caring professionals I have ever met I am now on the virtual ward and hope to be fully discharged soon. My experience was outstanding . Thank ever ...More
For medicine the junior staffing level is scanty, with some rotations there being 2 or 3 juniors (one of whom could get sent to another ward to do outliers). Registrars are all really helpful and approachable, bar the stroke registrar (your only senior when doing ward cover 16:30 to 21:00 on a weekday), who tends to be disgruntled towards any probl ...More
I wish i knew how bad the consultants are in this hospital. There’s a cultural problem at the core of the trust. Many don’t have proper qualifications to be a consultant. They mostly do not like to teach rather blame juniors for their mistakes. Some departments are dangerously short staffed to a point where you worry about both patients safety and ...More
I personally enjoyed the job, despite people around clearly not. The consultants are generally awful and struggled to trust most of them with judgements at all. The rota was okay and got on with the nursing staff nicely, with plenty of variety of patients to see and time looking after critically ill patients if I wanted.
