Awful (and boring) job! Whilst the consultants are all lovely and supportive, junior doctors are essentially treated like ward monkeys. Split between HASU and rehab, both good in their own right. Consultants are all lovely and helpful. Teaching provided throughout. Manageable workload, actual facilities i.e. doctors desks. Mix of routine stuff to keep it easy and interesting cases.
Overall, a relatively boring experience. But only because you don't actually do a huge amount. (On this scale, 5/10 is average). - Workload: 7/10 - either working on Hyper-Acute (10 bed) or in Rehab (~24-bed). Very chilled job. Includes 6 week block of AMU.
