This is an excellent place to work with an extremely supportive team. Of course with any a&e job the rota can be draining but getting 20% of time to dedicate to a specialist interest or QI was so useful. I would highly recommend this department to anyone considering working in ED in NHS Lothian.

Such a great place to work as an FY2. You’re on the same rota as the GP trainees and O&G trainees ST1 & ST2 so it was a steep learning curve but everyone was lovely. I did the job pre-covid and the rota included theatre and clinic times plus two golden SPA slots. Plus weekly SHO teaching before it was mandatory.
