New ct1, really disliked the job as the PA walks alongside the consultant handing out jobs while I'm a surgical trainee reduced to ordering XRs, bloods and the being ward monkey. They get dedicated clinic and theatre time while we're fighting for it. Best advice is to leave the UK as soon as is able and take the family too
Worked here at SHO level There are 3 types of of shifts on this job Standard days - Doing ward jobs after ward round, they are team based (colorectal/upper GI/urology/vascular etc) and they are 9-5.
