There are a minority of really supportive colleagues and in retrospect I learnt lot, but was not a safe place to be a foundation doctor.
There was regular bullying in some departments, for example A&E shouting and being singled out in handovers was very common. In orthopaedics, the level of responsibility for admissions and fracture manipulations was higher than most other hospitals at a similar grade - registrars were generally very unsupportive.
I enjoyed my care of the elderly job most, it's a really nice group of consultants, but very limited teaching opportunities and high se to service provision.
