Really really lovely hospital. The Foundation programme director is great- so approachable, contactable and interested in the F1s, and they have a Wellbeing officer who similarly would be there for anyone if you need her.
The consultants are (mostly) nice, although obviously under a lot of pressure. They encourage exception reporting (in my experience) and everyone knows everyone in the hospital. It's a small DGH and it seems to me that the care is good. It was outstanding at it's last inspection and, like every hospital, has its faults but you don't do nights as an F1 and I've never left after 6.
Weekly formal teaching is generally good, even if teaching on wards is completely dependent on where you are working.
